OS X: How to switch current application windows

Shortcuts are great: But I needed a particular for german keyboard layout.

Even though my OS X migration now is at the tender age of 2 years, it’s always nice to discover something new: After reading A guide for switching to a Mac and being a shortcut enthusiast I always wondered how to switch windows in the currently running application.

For US keyboard layout it is:

Cmd + ` or Cmd + ~

But for german keyboard layout it comes down to:

Cmd + <
